WMG Battery School 2018
Monday 9th April - Friday 13th April
Registration is now open for this five-day residential course, comprising a combination of lectures and laboratory work. Learn about all aspects of batteries through lectures and practical sessions at WMG’s £53m battery, materials and pilot line facility.
The course is run by Warwick’s Electrochemical Engineering Group. Admission fee includes accommodation on campus, meals and lectures, which will take place at Radcliffe house, a conference facility within the University of Warwick. This course focuses is primarily intended for those wishing to conduct battery research and understand how to improve the quality of their cell manufacture. Delegates will be provided with Course Notes on arrival at the Battery School which will include the lecture slides and lab notes.
The laboratories will take place at the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC) (£13m – Innovate UK), a national facility for battery manufacturing and research. The EIC has everything from coin cell scale to A5 lithium pouch cell manufacture of lithium ion cells. The event is an excellent opportunity for networking and many research collaborations have evolved from discussions during the course.
