Applications are invited for a position of Project Leader for the Faraday Fast Start project ReLiB, Recycling of Li-Ion Batteries, in the School of Metallurgy and Materials. This position is open to candidates with demonstrated track record of managing large research projects which involve multiple academic and industrial partners and are answerable to a research council funding agency or other funding bodies.
This project will be managed through the Birmingham Centre for Strategic Elements and Critical Materials led by the University of Birmingham. The ReLIB Project is bringing together researchers from seven universities in England, Wales and Scotland in order to facilitate a circular economy in lithium ion batteries, tackling the most demanding technical challenges in sensing, gateway testing, sorting, re-use and recycling. The ReLiB project forms one of four fast start projects which fall under the remit of the Faraday Institution.
To achieve this ambitious goal, Birmingham are looking to recruit a Project Lead to coordinate all activities related to this ambitious project. This key management and co-ordination role will work as part of a wider professional services, academic and industrial team to achieve the project objectives and deliverables.
