To lead, sustain and undertake research of international excellence in Electrical Power Conversion in one or more of the following key Systems Power & Energy research areas: power electronics; energy systems integration; electrical energy storage; integrated heat and power; demand/supply monitoring and control; smart grid. We would also consider applications that demonstrate expertise aligning with our current topics in Energy including: geothermal energy; energy from waste; integrated/hybrid energy systems; biofuels; biomass gasification; multi-fuel systems; solar energy; renewable heat; and renewable and sustainable energy devices, demonstrating leadership and academic management in all research, scholarship and teaching programmes and activities to ensure an excellent student experience. Working independently and with colleagues, and international and external stakeholders, the postholder will be expected to proactively pursue opportunities to generate income and publish in high impact journals at both national and international level. Managing a challenging and complex programme/portfolio of research will be integral to this post as will engaging with stakeholders to advance knowledge exchange, transfer technology and identify opportunities for commercialisation.
