The Advanced Materials and Surface Engineering Research Centre is looking for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to undertake research in the field of hydrogen fuel cells within the MFCIC in the following areas:

  • 2D-materials
  • Electrochemistry
  • Hydrogen generation via electrolysis, fuel cell chemistry
  • Battery technologies
  • Surface Engineering
  • 3D Printing

You will be responsible for fabrication and characterization of surface coatings, inks and ribbons for printing, electrodes, and fuel cell stack components. This will include ex situ characterization of fabricated materials to understand the impact of process parameters on the subsequent performance of fuel cells. You will have an understanding of coating processes and characterization techniques. Experience with fabrication and testing of electrochemical devices (e.g. fuel cells, electrolysis cells, batteries) is strongly desired.
