PDRA – Polymers for Solid State Batteries

£32,236 to £39,609 p.a.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Polymer Chemistry to work under the supervision of Professor Charlotte Williams on a research project for a period of up to 24 months. The post is part of a large project investigating the preparation and use of oligomeric and polymeric electrolytes and interface materials for use in solid state lithium and sodium ion batteries. The post is funded by the Faraday Institute and is a part of project SOLBAT which is led by Professor Peter Bruce (Oxford Materials). Research will focus on oxygenated polymer synthesis, characterisation and battery testing. A range of new and known polymers will be explored, including polycarbonates, polyethers and copolymers.
