£37,904 to £45,547 p.a.


This research associate post in 3D Imaging and analysis of electrodes for fuel cells and batteries sits within the research group of Prof Nigel Brandon, one of the leading groups in the field of fuel cell and battery research. You will lead work in the group on the acquisition and analysis of 3D tomography data on electrodes for fuel cells and batteries, with the aim of understanding electrode microstructure, working closely with other researchers and students in the electrochemical science and engineering group, and supporting external collaboration with a wide range of academic and industry partners.

You will be the lead researcher in the group in the area of 3D tomography on electrodes for fuel cells and batteries, undertaking experimental and analysis work in the field. You will be responsible for analysing and reporting the results, both internally and externally, contributing to the groups outstanding track record of producing high quality research outputs and engaging with industry. You will provide guidance to PhD Students and other RAs with interest in the field, and collaborate widely within Imperial College and elsewhere.
