WMG is a vibrant, cutting-edge research institution at the University of Warwick. We currently have an exciting opportunity to carry out research on a challenging, multi-partner project to understand the electrical, thermal and mechanical performance of passenger car solid-state battery cells.
In this post, you will work to develop advanced test methods and techniques to characterise the structural behaviour of solid-state cells and deliver those within WMG’s class leading energy innovation centre [EIC]. In addition to this, you will develop and apply CAE simulation models to assess and validate structural performance of solid-state battery cells and pack. Key objectives are to progress testing and simulation activities.
It is important that candidates have good experience or a deep interest in the fields of battery technology, mechanical testing of components; and structural simulations and are able to demonstrate their research interest in related field.
In return we will provide a great range of benefits which include an attractive pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas closure, some fantastic savings on a wide range of products and services, and excellent learning and development opportunities.
