We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Mechanical Engineering for a Research Associate to work as part of one of the UK’s leading applied research groups, specialising in end use energy reduction in the built environment. From Qatar 2022 to heat recovery in UK homes, the spectrum of projects is vast and challenging. We are looking for a dynamic new researcher to engage and act as a role model for our outstanding PhD students. The successful candidate will work in the built environment research group, working on high profile and high impact projects. The Research Associate will be supported and actively encouraged to attend conferences and publish in high quality peer-reviewed journals. You will have, or be close to completing, a PhD in mechanical engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline. You will have a good honours degree and PhD (or be close to completion) and have the ability to code and create new User Defined Functions (UDFs) is a key activity.
