Based in the Energy and Power Division, you will work within an EPSRC-funded project to examine the system-level control and performance of grid-linked energy storage assets. Using our state-of-the-art energy storage facilities, you will join our research team and will be responsible for devising and demonstrating grid-wide control to best exploit the capability of diverse energy storage assets. Our facilities include a Siemens SieStorage, grid-linked, lithium-ion energy storage system, a high-power battery life-cycle test system and a real-time digital simulator (RTDS). You will be part of a team of collaborating researchers from universities across the UK.
