An exciting opportunity exists to join the world renowned WMG at the University of Warwick. With exceptional research facilities, and a multi-disciplinary approach to working directly with industrial collaborators, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your professional reputation within a leading automotive research environment at the forefront of technology.

Working within the Advanced Propulsion Group, you will assist in the delivery of research work in the field of:

– Energy Storage System, power electronics and systems integration for automotive and motorcycle applications.

– You will work in a multi-disciplinary team with academics, industrial collaborators and research students to contribute to project delivery and to contribute to your, and the department’s academic track record.

– In particular, (but not exclusively) you will work on projects sponsored by our industry partner which seek to reduce the cost and environmental impact of transport for emerging economies.

Our Industry partner is a leading manufacturer of motorcycles and three wheel vehicles for the Indian and Indonesian markets. They manufacture over 2 million vehicles per year in a technically demanding and highly cost competitive marketplace, and provide transport for millions of families in India, and other emerging economies.

You will have significant relevant experience of research and development of energy storage systems with control and HiL experience – ideally in the context of electric or hybrid vehicles. Also the ability to actively engage with industry collaborators and project partners. You will be able to show track record of successful project completion and academic publication.
