Professor in the area of Sustainable Engineering Technologies/Systems

We are seeking to appoint a research leader with talent, energy and a proven track record in the areas of Sustainable Engineering Technologies and/or Systems. This leader will help us to grow our research capability and further establish Teesside University’s global reputation for distinctive, impactful research which makes a significant contribution to the lives, economies and communities we serve.

You will be expected to develop and lead your own research team within our renowned School of Science, Engineering and Design, whilst working collaboratively with colleagues both within the School and across the wider University to facilitate interdisciplinary external challenge led research, in particular related to our Sustainable Environments Grand Challenge.

You should have internationally recognised expertise, and a demonstrable track record of research in a relevant area This may include, but would not be exclusive to: resource efficient industrial systems and processes; industrial decarbonisation; hydrogen technologies; alternative/sustainable energy, feedstocks and/or materials; recovery and recycling technologies; carbon capture, storage and utilisation; closed loop engineering and manufacturing systems, engineering aspects of the circular economy; sustainable manufacturing technologies including those based on biological and natural processes.
